Liam and Maya sat on a faded log, watching a seagull try to steal a chip from a nearby picnic. They talked about the rubbish.
“We should do something,” Liam said, tracing patterns in the sand with a stick. “We could clean up this patch today, but what about tomorrow?”
Maya clapped her hands. “I have a brilliant idea! Let’s organise a Great Beach Clean-Up! We can get the whole street involved.”
Liam grinned. “That’s fantastic, Maya! But we need a plan. When should we do it?”
“How about this Saturday morning? That gives us time to tell everyone,” Maya replied. “First, we need to make some posters.”
They raced home, excited to start their secret mission to save their beach.
