Chapter 2: The Forgotten Track

The next morning, Mia found a narrow path behind the campsite—overgrown and marked with faded footprints. Jayden hesitated, but Mia’s determination won out. They followed the track, ducking under branches and hopping over rocks until they reached a clearing with a strange stone circle.
Jayden knelt beside one of the stones. “These carvings… they look like old Aboriginal symbols.”
Mia traced a spiral with her finger. As she touched it, the wind picked up again, swirling leaves into the air. The whisper returned, clearer this time: “Find the truth.”
Jayden’s eyes widened. “Okay, now I heard it.”
