What if no one came?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At five minutes past nine, they looked at the big blue sign. There were two other families. &#8220;Oh, well,&#8221; Liam whispered, &#8220;at least we tried.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Suddenly, a big cheer went up behind them. Around the corner marched their entire street! Mr. Henderson was pushing a wheelbarrow, Mrs. Chen had a stack of thick gloves, and all the kids had plastic bags ready. Even the grumpy man from the corner house was there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Look at this turnout!&#8221; said Mrs. Chen. &#8220;You two did a brilliant job organising this.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liam and Maya smiled, their nervousness gone.
